March 1st was International Wheelchair Day and we had the privilege of working with the Nevada Chapter of the Wheelchair Foundation in bringing FREE wheelchairs to those in long-term need. We had a great turn out and the Foundation was able to provide 30 new wheelchairs to those who came between the hours of 9 am to 12 pm. Everyone who received a wheelchair was granted free admission into the Museum as well, and we're so proud to be able to partner with local programs who aim to better our community through humanitarian efforts. As a Museum, we want everyone who visits our establishment to feel welcomed, and to know that no matter who you are, this place is for everyone and we are continually striving to expand accessibility.
If you or anyone you know is in need of long-term assistance in the form of a wheelchair, please visit https://www.wheelchairfoundation.org/programs/nevada/ for more information.
